제이에이, 리믹스 앨범 [Shining Moments Director's cut] 발표
살롱01 (SALON 01) 소속 프로듀서 제이에이(JA)가 정규 2집 [Shining Moments]의 재해석 앨범인 [Shining Moments Director's cut]을 발매한다. 앨범 커버는 2011년 말 발매되었던 2집 이미지의 연장선에서 어린시절 제이에이의 모습으로 페러디해 제작되었다. 지난 4월 '너의 꿈을 꿨어 (Acoustic Ver.)'을 시작으로 [Shining Moments]의 수록곡을 재해석해 싱글 형태로 꾸준히 발표해 왔던 JA는 리믹스 앨범을 통해 기존 발매된 싱글을 포함, 2집 전곡의 리믹스 버전을 수록해 앨범을 완성하였다.
이에 JA는 "지난 정규앨범 'Double Feature' '90' 등이 발표된 이후 'Director's cut (디렉터스컷)' 이라는 타이틀로 후속 시리즈를 발매해 프로듀서로서 역량을 발휘할 수 있는 리믹스 작업에 충실해 왔다. 이번 2집도 디렉터스컷 이라는 타이틀을 붙인 시리즈를 정규형태의 앨범단위로 만들기로 결심했다." 라고 앨범을 소개했다. 앨범에는 JA가 래핑을 선보인 곡들은 물론, The Quiett, Huckleberry P, RHYME-A-, 리듬파워, DJ Wegun, Innovator, 수다쟁이, 남수림(리미), 이아람 등이 피쳐링진으로 참여하였다. 각자의 곡들을 다양한 장르의 혼합으로 이뤄진 실험적인 재창조 작업이 메인 테마이며, 이와 동시에 새로운 모습으로 변모하는 나를 감독하는 자아에 대한 메세지를 담고있다고 전해왔다.
