＂Around the World in 80 days＂ by Jules Verne is a famous book in world literature. On a CD are just 80 minutes available, but it's also enough time to travel once around the world. Classical Music is mostly associated with music from Europe but this CD shows that countries outside of Europe produced great classical works, among them the USA (represented by the composer Edward MacDowell, track 15), Australia (Alfred Hill's Symphony No.4 on track 14) and China (represented by the composers Chen Gang and He Zhanhao, track 13).

But of course the journey starts and ends in England (tracks 1 and 15), exactly as in Jules Verne's book.
