크리스마스는 누구에게나 설렘과 기쁨을 선사하는 특별한 날입니다. 한 해의 끝자락에서 연인, 가족과 함께 시간을 보내며 따뜻한 추억을 쌓을 수 있는 날이기도 하지만, 무엇보다 크리스마스의 참된 주인공은 예수님이십니다.
이번 성탄절을 맞아, 젊은 세대에게 더 친근하게 다가가고자 찬송가 ”저 들 밖에 한밤중에-The First Noel“을 재해석해 보았습니다. 여기에 노엘 후렴 대신에 임마누엘(Emmanuel, God With Us) 예수님을 찬양하고 경배하는 후렴 가사를 더해, 맑고 청아한 선율로 크리스마스의 본질을 전하고자 했습니다. 이 곡을 통해 많은 젊은 세대가 성탄의 주인공이신 예수님을 더욱 높이고 찬양하는 기쁨을 함께 누리길 소망합니다.
이번 프로젝트에 함께한 강예은 자매는 찬양팀 '알바스천'에서 알토 보컬로 활동했을 뿐만 아니라, 다수의 드라마 OST 가이드 보컬과 가요 음원 작업에 참여하며 재능을 발휘해온 귀한 자매입니다. 또한 KBS 방송과 다양한 경연대회에서 수상 경력을 쌓아온 예은 자매는 음악을 통해 꿈을 키워가고 있는 아름다운 예배자입니다. 또한 늘 언제나 필요를 따라 도와주시는 김진오 감독님과 악보에 도움을 주신 김지혜, 김자현 자매, 또 이름 없이 도와주신 Soul Winner 식구들에게도 감사를 전합니다.

메리 크리스마스 & 해피 뉴이얼~

Christmas is a special day that brings joy and excitement to everyone. It’s a time to create warm memories with loved ones—family, friends, and partners—at the year's end. Above all, the true focus of Christmas is Jesus.
To celebrate this season, I’ve reinterpreted the hymn "The First Noel" to resonate more with the younger generation. Instead of the traditional “Noel” chorus, I’ve added a refrain praising Emmanuel (God With Us), set to a clear and uplifting melody, to emphasize the essence of Christmas. Through this song, I hope many in the younger generation will join in exalting and glorifying Jesus, the true center and reason for the season.
This project features Sister Ye-Eun Kang, a gifted worshiper and alto vocalist from the worship team Albastian. She has contributed as a guide vocalist for drama OSTs and various music tracks and has earned accolades, including awards from KBS broadcasts and other prestigious competitions. As an aspiring musician and dedicated worshiper, she continues to grow in her journey of faith and artistry.
I also deeply appreciate Director Jin-Oh Kim, who always provides timely support, as well as Sisters Jihye Kim, Jahyun Kim, and the Soul Winner family for their invaluable contributions.
